For Father’s Day last year I wanted to give my husband a gift to remind him of a favorite pastime for him and the kids: Legos. My children love to “play blocks” with their dad, probably because he’s much better at it than I am. He loves to create whatever they desire, the more challenging the better.

I used graph paper to plot my design and bought the bricks from the nearest Lego store using the “Pick a Brick” wall. I tried to hot glue the bricks together but the glue dried too thickly, so I used Crazy Glue which got the job done. I played around with the design for a while before I picked the one I liked most. I also created a little platform and added Lego figurines that resembled my husband and children.

The Lego gift now lives on his desk at work  and reminds him of all the fun he has to look forward to when he gets home!

So, do you have a special Father’s Day gift planned? We have  only a few days left to figure it out!
